Together for Child Rights and Well-Being

Act2gether is more than youth empowerment. It’s a new way of working together, where generations learn from one another, grow together, and co-create solutions that protect children’s rights and promote well-being.
Because who knows what’s best for youth, if not youth themselves?

Act2gether is a global programme reimagining how children and adults work together to uphold children’s rights and promote holistic well-being. Rooted in the belief that every child is unique, capable, and deserves to be heard, Act2gether creates spaces where young people and adults form meaningful partnerships to drive both personal and social transformation.

Now active in five countries, the programme adapts to local realities while remaining grounded in a shared vision: a world where children’s voices are valued, their rights protected, and their well-being prioritised.

Act2gether in Israel
Implemented by Education for Life, in partnership with the Learning for Well-being Foundation, Act2gether for Child Rights & Well-being brings this global vision to life in Israel by centring youth participation and intergenerational collaboration.

In a society marked by geographic, social, and cultural disparities, the project empowers youth to recognise their agency and become changemakers. It responds to real challenges: children lacking safe spaces, emotional support, and a meaningful role in shaping decisions that affect their lives.

By providing training, mentorship, and resources, Act2gether for Child Rights & Well-being equips youth with the tools to advocate, create, and lead.

About the Project
At the heart of Act2gether for Child Rights and Well-being is a deep belief in the potential of youth and partnerships between generations. The project brings together six diverse youth task forces from across Israel: urban, rural, religious, secular, centre and periphery, each guided by experienced mentors and supported by a youth-led Youth Advisory Group (YAG).

Together, we:

  • Raise awareness on children’s rights and their well-being
  • Promote leadership and support the development of decision-making skills through our core capacities
  • Support young people in creating and leading community projects that make a difference
  • Provide funding to implement child-led initiatives that have an impact
  • Develop a national youth network to advance children’s rights and well-being

The Project Includes:

  • 3 national gatherings  where youth learn, connect, and collaborate
  • Weekly hands-on workshops focused on children’s rights education, research, budgeting, decision-making, social media, and public relations
  • Community projects designed and led entirely by youth

Our Young Leaders

The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) brings together young people ages 15–17 from diverse backgrounds and identities to take part as equal partners in shaping the project.
Working closely with project teams, they contribute to planning, decision-making, and facilitation, ensuring that young people’s perspectives remain at the center.
YAG strengthens the project’s quality and accountability while creating a meaningful space where children and youth can express their voices, influence decisions, and fully realize their right to participation.
