In Katzrin, we joined Act2gether to create a youth-owned space where teens can safely connect, explore, and lead. We wanted to create a place where young people can feel at home and take the lead in shaping their community.

Who We Are

We are a dynamic and diverse group of 10th–12th grade students from both religious and secular schools, living in the Golan Heights. We’re proud of our home, our land, and our way of life. We speak openly, support one another, and are determined to make our voices heard. As teens from the geographic and social periphery, we are especially aware of gaps in access to basic rights, and we’re here to do something about it.

Our Project: N(r)ight Coffee

N(r)ight Coffee is a youth-led evening coffee cart and community hub; a safe and welcoming gathering space in the heart of the Golan.

The coffee cart opens twice a week and is run by a mix of community members, youth centre staff, and local teens. We design the experience:

• We choose activities and content based on our interests and needs
  
  
• We host events like open mic nights, local performances, sunset yoga, board games, and night safaris
  
  

Our goal is to build a space that reflects our voice, our community, and our dreams.

The Rights We’re Focusing On

• Article 6 (The Right to Life, Survival, and Development) – Every child has the natural right to life and the chance to grow and thrive. This includes access to safety, health, well-being, and opportunities to develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
  
  

Through N(r)ight Coffee, we are creating space for young people to live fully, grow safely, and connect meaningfully in the place we call home.
