“Shom’im Rega?!” Podcast
A national podcast led by the National Student and Youth Council, as part of the ACT2GETHER project
The “Shom’im Rega?!” (“Got a Minute?!”) podcast is an initiative of the National Student and Youth Council, produced in collaboration with Education for Life as part of the Act2gether for Child Rights project.
The goal of the podcast is to give young people a platform to express their public voice, explore children’s rights as defined by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and connect their personal experiences to broader social and educational issues.
The podcast is expected to include approximately 24 episodes featuring youth from across the country, serving as a key educational tool for promoting dialogue on rights, representation, and civic engagement among the younger generation.
“Eye-Level” Podcast
The “Emek Hefer – Eye-Level” group is one of six youth groups operating within the Act2gether project for children’s rights and well-being, led by the Education for Life organization.
The group is composed of ten middle-school students from Ruppin School, driven by the belief that every voice matters and that youth initiatives have the power to shape a more attentive and connected community.
Their project, titled “Eye to Eye,” focuses on two key rights from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child: the right to be heard (Article 12) and the right to freedom of expression (Article 13).
As part of the initiative, they created three innovative platforms:
• a digital wall for sharing thoughts and ideas,
• a youth-led podcast produced entirely by the students themselves, and
• a dedicated website that collects all the content and raises awareness about children’s rights.
In the next stage, they plan to establish a student committee that will review the suggestions submitted and work to implement them within the school community.
