Turning Ideas into Action
On February 4–5, we held the second seminar of the Act2gether project, bringing together six youth groups for two days of intensive learning, collaboration, and action planning.
This empowering gathering enabled participants to:
Deepen their understanding of their rights and the power of their voice
Develop leadership and project management skills
Gain practical tools to lead social initiatives within their communities
Grounded in an intergenerational and rights-based approach, the seminar created a space where young people and adults worked together as equal partners, fostering an environment in which every voice is valued.
Seminar Highlights
A central highlight of the seminar was the hackathon, where participants engaged in focused workshops on project design, financial planning, and strategic development. These sessions supported them in refining their ideas and gaining clarity on their next steps. The day concluded with an evening of karaoke and singing around a campfire, strengthening group cohesion and connection.
On the second day, each group presented its project to a panel of professionals and peers, receiving constructive feedback and thoughtful questions that helped deepen their understanding, sharpen their plans, and strengthen their community initiatives.
Through interactive workshops and hands-on sessions, participants built confidence in their ability to create meaningful change—demonstrating that when young people’s voices are heard, communities can truly thrive.
We look forward to seeing these projects come to life on the ground and to continuing this journey together in the next seminar.
