Education for Life is proud to be the official Israeli partner of the international organization Learning for Well-Being (L4WB). As part of our partnership, we were thrilled to recently host Dominic Richardson(LinkedIn Link), Managing Director of the Learning for Well-Being Federation & Institute, and Edda Olsson (LinkedIn Link), Research Analyst and Partnership Strategist.
Connecting Directly with the Field
We dedicated the three days of their visit to tours across the south, center, and north of Israel. The goal was to showcase the complex reality and unique challenges Israeli society faces in general, and especially today. Beyond the tours, the core of the visit was dedicated to direct, face-to-face meetings with the youth we have been working with over the past few years.
Dominic and Edda met with representatives of the National Student and Youth Council and visited the teens involved in the Act2gether project, which promotes children’s rights. These encounters were a safe, open space for listening, mutual sharing of perspectives, and a genuine examination of the project’s impact on the participants’ lives.
A Partnership Built on Global Experience
Our partnership with the L4WB organisation bridges the international experience of our colleagues with our in-house team’s deep understanding of the local landscape. Dominic, the Institute’s CEO, brings global expertise in child well-being research and family policy, drawing on his previous senior roles at UNICEF and the OECD. Edda is a research analyst and partnerships strategist at L4WB, who connects data to new opportunities. During the visit, our EFL team, alongside Dominic and Edda, shared knowledge, experience, and data to ensure that our programmes remain relevant, up-to-date, and precisely aligned with the evolving needs of Israeli society.
The continuous, collaborative work between our team in Israel and the global leadership ensures that our initiatives remain sustainable and create long-lasting impact. We look forward to continuing to work hand in hand to build a world where every child and individual, in Israel and globally, can fulfil their unique potential!
