Shira Shemesh, a visual storyteller with extensive experience producing video for nonprofits and businesses, with a special focus on documentary work and bringing stories to life, is joining our team. In her new role, Shira will lead the organization’s digital content efforts, helping us share our work externally and tell the unique story of the EFL community.
Professional Experience and Background
Shira brings broad experience working with youth from all walks of life, as a mentor, coordinator, and social activist advancing social equality and environmental sustainability. Throughout her professional journey, she has produced and edited promotional videos, documentary content, social media content, podcasts, and YouTube videos. During her military service, she served as a videographer and editor in a filming unit and was awarded an Excellence Award by a Major General.
In her most recent role, she spent three months aboard a ship in the Mediterranean Sea, documenting environmental action efforts as part of her work with the international organization Sea Shepherd.
Looking Ahead
With her diverse background in digital production and youth education, Shira is set to significantly strengthen Education for Life’s digital presence and expand our impact. Her work will support the organization’s core vision: to create a world where every child and individual can fulfill their unique potential.
