The Act2gether project is a three day seminar for teenagers aimed at promoting children’s rights through genuine community action. Each group left the seminar with a practical project to implement in their own community, designed to promote equality, make their voices heard, and create a lasting impact long after the seminar concluded.
Following the seminar and the project launch days, we invited all the groups to a special, culmination day in Tel Aviv, a day meant to pause for a moment, process the experience, and look back together at the journey we’ve been on.
Graffiti: The Right to Be Heard
We kicked off the day with a graffiti workshop where participants expressed their right to be heard and to voice their opinions in the public space by creating a collaborative mural. Inspired by the vibrant street art scene of Tel Aviv’s Florentin neighborhood and Park HaMesila, this experience symbolized the core message of Act2gether: the voices of young people have real power to shape reality.
Lunch and a Documentary Film
Following the creative activity and tour, we enjoyed a delightful lunch before gathering for a special screening of a documentary summarizing the entire project. The film, produced by the teens themselves, showcased both their group and personal journeys, the seminars, social initiatives, and intergenerational collaborations, highlighting the sense of capability that blossomed over the past year.
Filmed throughout all stages of the ACT2GETHER project, the documentary chronicles the youth’s journey from the very beginning up to this peak day. Through meetings, initiatives, moments of action, and group discussions, it provides an authentic glimpse into learning, leadership, partnership, and self-expression. The film gathered testimonies from the field that illustrate the deep essence of the project: creating a space where teenagers can make an impact, act together, and lead meaningful initiatives for their community.
The Peres Center and a Shared Conclusion
We concluded the day with a tour of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, where participants were exposed to stories of entrepreneurship, leadership, and global collaborations. In our final wrap-up, we reflected together on the journey we had undertaken, from strengthening children’s rights through community action to building a genuine intergenerational partnership.
This peak day reinforced our shared sense of mission: to continue promoting children’s rights and creating an optimal environment for every child can fulfil unique potential, exactly as Act2gether was designed to do.
