Or Mordo, a passionate educational leader, is joining the Education for Life team as our new CEO, bringing years of experience in leading youth and communities. With a rich background in informal education and developing innovative programs, Or is ready to take the organization a step forward into the new year.
A Lifelong Journey in Education and Youth Work
Born and raised in Kiryat Ata, 37-year-old Or Mordo has dedicated his life to education and shaping the next generation. Or joins us after serving for three years as the Regional Coordinator for the Jewish Agency’s Israel Fellows program on North American college campuses.
Previously, he spent six years as the Director of the Municipal Youth Department in Nesher, where he oversaw all informal education activities, youth movements, representative leadership programs, and community projects. Prior to that, he held key roles such as District Facilitator for Young Representative Leadership at the Ministry of Education, Jewish Agency Campus Fellow in Sydney, Australia, and Spokesperson for the University of Haifa Student Union.
Education and Professional Expertise
Or holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communications, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Haifa, and a teaching certificate in Communications from Gordon Academic College. This strong academic foundation makes him a leader who knows how to seamlessly bridge high-level public policy with day-to-day fieldwork.
Vision for the Future
One of Or’s notable achievements is his debut book, “Medurat Hashevet” (The Campfire)—an initiative that deeply reflects his approach to community building, intergenerational dialogue, and value-based education.
In his role as CEO, he plans to lead the organization in developing innovative educational programs to create a world where every child and individual in Israel can realize their unique potential! We are thrilled to welcome Or Mordo as our new CEO and look forward to achieving great success together.
